This policy applies to all information collected within the Apex Lucis application. It explains the policies regarding collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information within Apex Lucis.

Information that is collected and Shared
All information you enter into the application is not shared with anyone else.
One caveat of this is that the application utilises an Apple framework called SwiftData. Swift data is a database framework in which all your data is stored. To allow you to use more than one device, for example you have a phone and a tablet, Swift Data is configured to use Cloud Kit. Cloud Kit syncs your data to your Apple iCloud account so that it can be shared between your devices. This information is tied to your iCloud account and cannot be accessed by anyone else.
Data Storage
Permit documents, expense receipts, accommodation confirmations, etc are stored in the CloudKit private database. Apple encrypts this data in transit and at rest so that it is protected. You should make your own decision to ensure that this suits your needs.
Log Data
Apex Lucis does not collect, or transmit any application log data. If you have opted in to share data with the application developer, then crash logs will be made available to the development team. This data does not link to any user or device, it is anonymised crash log information.
3rd Party websites
- The app will not prompt you to open any links to 3rd party websites.
Apex Lucis uses data from 3rd Party websites to provide some of its functionality.
- Apple Weather to show weather data.
- GBIF to show Wildlife near a location.
No data that is linked to you is sent to these websites, only a rough approximation of your location.
Children’s Privacy
Apex Lucis does not collect any information that might be used to compromise a child’s privacy. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to have it removed.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
From time to time this Privacy Policy may be updated. If it does change a notification will alert you to this within the application, though you are advised to check this page periodically for updates.
