What Is Apex Lucis Pro?
Apex Lucis Pro is a subscription that unlocks eight features. Everything else is included with the app — the whole business side, the offline sun, moon and Milky Way calculations, tide predictions, weather, wildlife, aurora and colour forecasts, locations, gear, the photographic calculators, shot lists, trips, permits, studio bookings, widgets, Live Activities, Siri and Shortcuts, notifications and data export.

What You See Without Pro
The Pro sections stay where they are. On the Business and Planning screens their cards carry a PRO badge, and opening one shows an upgrade screen in place of its content. Nothing else in the app changes.
Optimal Windows is the exception — it runs rather than locks. Without Pro you get a real scan of your three nearest locations over three days, ranked and complete. Beneath the results, the locations it did not reach are named behind an Unlock with Pro panel. With Pro, every saved location in range is scanned across ten days. See Optimal Windows.
In particular, you can still produce every document without Pro — invoices, contracts, call sheets, crew sheets and model releases all generate using the built-in template for their type. Pro is what lets you import and use your own layouts.
The messages you send are free. The wording of every email Apex Lucis writes for you — enquiry replies, invoice chases, delivery notices, review requests — is yours to edit without a subscription. See Templates.
Client-Ready Web Documents covers the pages you hand to someone else: the Shoot Day Page on a booking and Share as Web Page on a call sheet. The PDF of the same content is free, so nothing you could produce before is behind the gate.
Subscription Plans

Subscribing
- Open any Pro feature — Profit and Loss, Insights, Moon Alignment, Call Sheets or Crew — and tap Unlock with Pro. On Optimal Windows the button sits on the panel below your results; on Templates it sits on the Documents half, with Messages free beside it; on a booking it sits on the Shoot Day Page card
- The Pro screen appears, listing everything the subscription includes
- Select Monthly or Annual
- Confirm with Face ID / Touch ID / Apple ID password
- Pro access is unlocked immediately
Restoring a Purchase
If you upgrade devices or reinstall the app:
- Go to Settings → About → Restore Purchases
- Sign in to the same Apple ID used to subscribe
- Pro access is restored automatically
Cancelling
Cancel through the App Store:
- iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Apex Lucis Pro → Cancel
- Your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period
