Accessing Settings
Tap the gear icon (⚙) in the top right of any main screen, or navigate via the main tab bar on iPad.
General Settings

Note: These are defaults only — they pre-fill the corresponding fields when you create a new drone Permit, where you can override them per location. Apex Lucis does not verify registration validity or check airspace.
Preferred Conditions
Customise Apex Lucis Shoot Score generation by defining the conditions you prefer when shooting. To get you going there are a couple of presets.

A Default markup of zero recharges costs at what you paid. Whatever you set applies at the moment a cost is marked reimbursable — changing it later never re-prices a recharge you have already entered. See Charging a cost to a client.
Your Payment link goes on every invoice PDF, as an address and as a scannable code. A single invoice can override it in its own Payment Link field. See Getting paid from the PDF.
Note: Apex Lucis takes no payment and never sees one. The link is yours, and the client pays you directly.
Disclaimer: Tax and mileage rates are offered as defaults for convenience. Verify the rates that apply to you with your accountant.
Sample Data
Fills Apex Lucis with a worked example — a season of shoots, the clients behind them, the invoices they raised and the locations they happened at — so you can see how the modules fit together before entering anything of your own.
You are offered it once during onboarding, and it is off unless you ask for it. Settings → Sample Data adds or removes it at any time.
Remove Sample Data tells you what it will take before it takes it. Anything you built on an example — an invoice raised against a sample booking, say — goes with it, and the confirmation counts those separately. Anything you created on your own is untouched.
Disclaimer
The app’s position on the money figures it produces: what it does, what it does not do, where its numbers come from, and whose responsibility a filing is.
Apex Lucis records what you enter and totals it up. It is not accounting software, it files nothing on your behalf, and nothing in it is financial, tax or legal advice. Have any figure reviewed by a qualified accountant before you act on it.

Tip: Add your bank details so clients know where to pay. This appears in a designated section at the bottom of every invoice PDF.
Tip: Fill in your review link and the review request raised from a booking’s Delivery tab carries it for you. See Templates.
What You Deliver is your word, used in every message a client reads. Leave it empty and Apex Lucis says images. Set it to photographs, pictures or artwork and the delivery notice, its subject line, the review request and the anniversary message all follow.
Privacy
Every permission Apex Lucis can ask for, in one place, with the option to grant it or to jump to the system settings if you have already declined.

Each row shows its current state:

Calendar access can be partial. iOS and macOS offer an “add only” level that lets Apex Lucis create events but not read them back. Bookings will appear, but editing one creates a duplicate and cancelling one leaves the old event behind. This shows as Limited; full access fixes both.
Apex Lucis asks for these only when a feature needs one, and works without any of them — you lose what each one does, and nothing else.
Hidden Messages
Some warnings report something that is true every time — no iCloud account on this device, or calendar access granted as “add events only” — so they offer Don’t Show Again rather than reappearing on every booking you save.
Show These Again brings them all back. The count above it says how many are being held. Hiding is per device, and per warning: silencing one does not silence a different problem you have not been asked about.
